正教會今日讀經：
格前/ 林前11:8-22
原來不是男人出於女人，而是女人出於男人；而且男人不是為女人造的，女人乃是為男人造的。為此，女人為了天使的緣故，在頭上應該有屬於權下的表記，然而在主內，女不可無男，男也不可無女，因為就如女人是出於男人，同樣男人也是藉女人而生；但一切都出於天主。你們自己評斷罷！女人不蒙頭向天主祈禱相宜嗎？不是本性也教訓你們：男人若蓄髮，為他就是羞辱，但是女人若蓄髮，為她倒是光榮嗎？因為頭髮是給她當作首帕的。若有人想強辯，那麼他該知道：我們沒有這樣的風俗，天主的各教會也沒有。
我要囑咐你們，並不稱讚你們，因為你們聚會不是為得益，而是為受害。首先，我聽說你們聚會時，你們中間有分裂的事，我也有幾分相信，因為在你們中間原免不了分黨分派的事，好叫那些經得起考驗的人，在你們中顯出來。你們聚集在一處，並不是為吃主的晚餐，因為你們吃的時候，各人先吃自己的晚餐，甚至有的飢餓，有的卻醉飽。難道你們沒有家可以吃喝嗎？或是你們想輕視天主的教會，叫那些沒有的人羞慚嗎？我可給你們說什麼？要我稱讚你們嗎？在這事上，我決不稱讚。
For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; nor was man created for woman, but woman for man; for this reason a woman should have a sign of authority on her head, because of the angels. Woman is not independent of man or man of woman in the Lord. For just as woman came from man, so man is born of woman; but all things are from God. Judge for yourselves: is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head unveiled? Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears his hair long it is a disgrace to him, whereas if a woman has long hair it is her glory, because long hair has been given (her) for a covering? But if anyone is inclined to be argumentative, we do not have such a custom, nor do the churches of God.
In giving this instruction, I do not praise the fact that your meetings are doing more harm than good. First of all, I hear that when you meet as a church there are divisions among you, and to a degree I believe it; there have to be factions among you in order that (also) those who are approved among you may become known. When you meet in one place, then, it is not to eat the Lord’s supper, for in eating, each one goes ahead with his own supper, and one goes hungry while another gets drunk. Do you not have houses in which you can eat and drink? Or do you show contempt for the church of God and make those who have nothing feel ashamed? What can I say to you? Shall I praise you? In this matter I do not praise you.

門徒便問耶穌說：「那麼，為什麼經師說：厄里亞應該先來呢？」耶穌回答說：「厄里亞的確要來，且要重整一切；但我告訴你們：厄里亞已經來了，人們卻不認識他，反而任意待了他；照樣，人子也要受他們的磨難。」門徒這纔明白耶穌給他們所說的，是指的洗者若翰。
當他們來到群眾那裏時，有一個人來到耶穌跟前，跪下說：「主啊，可憐我的兒子罷！他患癲癇病很苦，屢次跌在火中，又屢次跌在水裏。我把他帶到你的門徒跟前，他們卻不能治好他。」耶穌回答說：「哎！無信敗壞的世代，我同你們在一起要到幾時呢？我容忍你們要到幾時呢？把他給我帶到這裏來！」耶穌遂叱責魔鬼，魔鬼就從孩子身上出去了；從那時刻，孩子就好了。
Then the disciples asked him, “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?” He said in reply, “Elijah will indeed come and restore all things; but I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him but did to him whatever they pleased. So also will the Son of Man suffer at their hands.” Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them of John the Baptist.
When they came to the crowd a man approached, knelt down before him, and said, “Lord, have pity on my son, for he is a lunatic and suffers severely; often he falls into fire, and often into water. I brought him to your disciples, but they could not cure him.” Jesus said in reply, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long will I be with you? How long will I endure you? Bring him here to me.” Jesus rebuked him and the demon came out of him, and from that hour the boy was cured.
